Sonic is Mario's biggest rival in the real world video games market. Sonic came to life in 1991 with the purpose to become Sega's mascot. Sega games were very successful during the 90's and their mascot Sonic has become and still remains one of the most recognizable video game characters. Sonic was the main character of all games from Sonic the Hedgehog series, but his popularity also made him appear as a guest star in many other games, cartoons and comic strips. There's even a gene called Sonic the Hedgehog after Sega's Sonic.

TAILS' NIGHTMARE
This is a Horror version of Tails game. Tails is a Sonic's friend. He's a fox with 2 tails. You walk in platform levels and need to collect golden rings just like in Sonic games, but Tails is not Sonic and he can do other tricks. Move left and right with the corresponding arrow keys. Jump with Z. Press and hold the up arrow during a jump to fly using your tails. Press the up arrow while on the ground together with Z, hold both keys for a while and release them to jump/fly extra high. Hold the down arrow and press Z to roll on the ground.
This game uses characters from Sonic, but it's not a typical sonic platformer game. You are Sonic and your goal is to kill all flying enemies throwing balls at them. The enemies will drop balls too. You need to avoid all balls including your own ones. You are throwing your balls under a certain angle. It takes a little while to get used to the trajectory.
This game is right what the name says. You are Sonic the Hedgehog, but you are not in your regular world. For some mysterious reason you're now in Mario's world instead. Apart from the fact that the main character is Sonic, the game is almost equal to Mario. There's one important difference: You can shoot pressing X. You move with the left and right arrows and jump with A.
In this game you control Sonic the Hedgehog. The game has certain elements of the original platformer game, but it's pretty different. You do need to jump before some sort of platforms and collect golden rings, but the platforms are clouds and they disappear when you stand on them for a while. You only need to move in one direction and to do it fast to make sure you don't fall.
This is another Flash Sonic. You control Sonic the Hedgehog or other Sonic characters with the arrow keys. Press Z or X to jump. Remember that Sonic is vulnerable in his normal state, but causes damage when rolling. Sonic is rolling while jumping or running fast. To start a rolling run you need to me space to accelerate. You can play the built in levels or load a level from the network. Some network features are only available if you register.
This is basically the same game as Super Mario World, but with one little difference: Your main character is not Mario, but Sonic the Hedgehog. Use the arrow keys to make Sonic walk in Mario world. Press A to jump and hold S while walking to run.
This is the second part of Sonic Xtreme. As well as the first part, it's a Flash version of the famous Sonic. In this game you have new levels and can choose different Sonic characters.

This is another Flash version of Sonic. As well as in the original Sega game, you need to reach the end of the level collecting rings and avoiding or killing enemies. Use the arrow keys to run and spacebar to jump.
This game is an exact reproduction of the good old Sonic game, but made in Flash. There's no point in explaining a Sonic game, because we all know what it's about. As for this Flash version, I must admit that it's very well-made. The character follows your controlls in an absolutely stable manner, and no glitches seem to have place.
A strange game where Sonic characters fight evil monsters in Final Fantasy style battles. In other words, you need to defeat your opponents in step-by-step battles using either magic or a sword, and all this with Sonic characters. The file size is relatively big, mainly because of a long intro with music, so please be patient.
This game is somewhat similar to tetris: blocks fall to the bottom of a rectangular area. However, the rules of Sonic Heroes Puzzle are different from tetris: Blocks are composed of Sonic characters and objects associated with them. Rings are associated with Sonic, Bricks are associated with Knuckles and emeralds are associated with Tails. Once a character lyes next to its associated object, both are eliminated. If there are several equal objects lying one next to another they all are eliminated once you lay an appropriate character next to them.
